Sniper Overview:
The energy mechanic for Agents is somewhat unique for an energy bar in MMOs. The Agent's Energy regnerates faster the closer to full that it is. Because of this the Sniper will always have to balance their ability to have high burst damage with the fact that if they try to hit too hard, too fast, they are going to dramatically hurt their ability to sustainstrong damage numbers over a prolonged engagement. To check the engery regeneration levels you can mouse over your energybar and a tool tip will pop-up showing the current rate. This mechanic will likely lead to Snipers needing to be ready with multiple combat rotations to rely on depending on the environment they are facing.
The following are some examples of rotations that may work well for new Snipers and Marksmanship Snipers(Lethality and Engineering specs will lead toward very different rotations once enough talent points are available):
Against PvE Groups:
From Cover->Explosive Probe->Snipe->TAB->Laze->Ambush->Rifle Shot->Tab->Snipe->Rifle Shot
Bursting Against a Hard Target:
From Cover-> Explosive Probe->Laze Target->Shatter Shot->Snipe->Ambush->Followthrough->Series-of-Shots
1vs1 PvP:
From Cover->Leg Shot->Ambush->Flashbang(If you need to buy time)->Snipe->Snipe->Debilitate(If they've reached melee)->Suppressive Fire->(move away)->Cover->Snipe->Cover Pulse(If they've reached Melee)->Ambush
If you get into trouble as a sniper it has a ton of tools to get out:
Try Flashbang, Debilitate, Cover Pulse, Shield Probe, Evasion, Entrench, Legshot.
When it comes to crowd control Snipers can be pretty dominating.
