With the NDA being lifted I will be starting Class Strategy threads for each class to discuss class builds, capabilities, roles, and functions. These will also include talent tree and spec discussions as well as suggestions for attack and heal rotations. It is my hope that each class can make these threads active group discussions as individuals develop new talent builds or uncover new information on thier class.
I am only on a short break from work at the moment but will be replacing these placeholds asap with class specific content.

I'm not sure about that medic build, having no points to reduce damage mitigation on yourself is the wrong move. At least in a operation environment.

Yeah, I agree. I mostly just have that basic build up as a jumping off point for healer builds. The 5 unused points in it should probably go towards something like Chem-resistant Inays or Inclement Conditioning if you were building towards operations. It also wouldn't be too hard to find a couple of points that could be shifted without too big a hit to healing capability.

the concealment build did not take the 6% increased crit chance in the lethality tree???? curious, I guess the medic skills giving the tact adv and increased value out of the drone do make sense.

Trees don't seem to allow much room to make hybrids. Perhaps they'll change that down the line.
Anyways here are some of the builds I had in mind.
PvE Lethality (My Leveling Build)
PvP Lethality
PvE Medic

I did not know Nanotech was a HoT. Admittedly it was a little lackluster even with a 2 piece bonus I had that gave 15% boost to it but its basically like casting a 3rd kolto probe(since probe only stacks up to 2) and being able to put it on 4 people at once if they are within 10 meters.
It was occasionally nice for pvp just to have more heals ticking while stunned but honestly I dunno. Operative is a tank healer and the other healers have better AoE heals imho so it might be better to grab other talents than nanotech at least for now. Hopefully they update it especially for a 31 point talent its kinda sad imho.

I think I like this for raid heals. combat stims is supposed to read reduces the cooldown by 15 seconds and gives 10 energy. tier 2 the other 2 choices for the points are just as viable as its all subjective but I took debilitate because I am sure I will pvp and thats just handy. But the flash bang could be a huge debuff when a bunch of adds show up and ya want to take the edge off the offtank who is getting powned now tanking 6 adds or the dart for a little more dps on the boss. SOooo many good choices really.....

That or a little more dps for pvp or questing etc while still being able to raid heal and have all the needed talents. I expect to be behind the boss in melee range often so I can use Shiv or free backstabs between heals.

re: PVP Spec??
by Zelphren on Sun Dec 25, 2011 8:56 pm
I am trying to figure out a good pvp spec for my ia, i prefer to stay at range and kill to be honest, and then go in to finish one off or if its a 1 on 1 and someone is trying to get nasty. I do like the lethality tree, but im not sure how it would fair in pvp.
This is my thoughts on a hybrid so to speak that would increase all my options. I know medics can heal good but i find that its just such a slow skill to use but i seem to do decent wth it when i need to. I am more of the dps type.
Please let me know what you think, this is just what I feel could work well.
