Overview:
Madness:
Builds based on this tree will have a high amount of mobility compared to the other two trees. Madenss has a strong focus on Instant-cast and Damage Over Time spells . The talents cause Madness builds to have high sustained damge but probably lower burst damage potiential compaired to Lightning builds.
Lightning:
Crit percents will be very significant to Lightning based builds. This tree offers very strong burst abilities and excellent area of effect potential but against harder, longer fights Lightning builds will probably fall behind the Madness builds on total damage.
Corruption:
Very strong healing tree. Options for both group burst healing, with dark infusion and aoe heals; and high efficency healing with HoTs, shields, and Innervate. With the strong heal options and the Sorcerer's deep force pool to draw from this class currently appears to outperform the other healer options in most scenarios.

If anyone else has any builds or comments they'd like to contribute please do so. I will be updating information here as things change and as additional information comes to light.

Going to be going Sorcerer for a healer, been messing with it on this weekend's beta. Only lvl 13 but looking at the tree, which isn't too different from the ones on torhead.com. I am thinking a good build will divulge points into Lightning only for "electric induction", "reserves", and "lightning barrier(if it effects the bubble on other targets not just your own personal). And then "will of the sith" and 1 in "sith defiance".
So it would look like 31-7-3, just in my opinion, of course the actual tree might be way different from the site now so I could be way off. All the core healing skills are there, the cost reduction, force increase and possible bubble buff help. Willpower helps out as well.

Agreed Omni, I went with a 32-7-2 build to maximize the healing power. It seems to give the biggest bang for the buck on healing.

Sadly it has now been wiped with the forums. Guess we perhaps when we go live maybe write our own? I only got up to 14-15(just cause I didn't want to spoil the game for myself) in the Thanksgiving Beta weekend but I like how it feels. Seems to be a nice mix between my 2 favorite classes I did in WoW, Warlock and Priest. OF course I will be a healer mainly, and it will take adjustment but I think we could do it.

I have a few thoughts on builds i have posted 1 in another thread though. I will come up with a few things for dps please feel free and critique them. I am trying to build a DPS/Support build for raid and pvp.
I did happen to notice that the 20% extra from static barrier really does help especially in pvp so I personally would not knock its ability.

From my limited playing it's looking like group play is all about controlling the flow of damage and mitigation. Static barrier is my favorite spell and goes a long way towards saving a partner in peril. I tend to throw up static barrier then cast a big heal, since SB will last a long time. It goes against my instinct to cast a fast heal, but I've found that if I don't mitigate first, my fast heal is too weak to keep up with the flow of damage. This will probably change when my much faster computer arrives though.
The only exception seems to be when my tank has more than three enemies on him, but that should usually be remedied by some sort of crowd control.
Has anyone found any good coefficient numbers for Willpower/bonus healing? I've been looking around and the information I'm seeing is dodgy and widespread.

Here's the only thing I've found. Not sure on it's reliability though, but nonetheless it's worth a look.

Not sure if it's "Umbra approved" either ;)
