Guild,
We got a little more on the Republic Trooper, to include data on their advanced classes choices. One can choose to be a "ranged" Tank known as the Vangaurd. This is the class that Sado (aka Justin Lowe) played next to me at PAX for the live stage video. If you haven't seen the video of us on stage demoing the advanced classes in a flash point you can check out the entire stage show from PAX here: http://www.guildumbra.net/custom.php?gid=111348&page_id=62199&page_id=69666
You can also choose the Commando advanced class which is the more DPS or "off tank" selection for the Trooper. All in all, I think that this class is shaping up to be something that will offer a lot of fun to someone misguided enough to play the republic faction. You can read all about the Trooper class here: http://tiny.cc/cyezu
The trooper class will get a number of companions to provide support, like all classes. Troopers will get a weequay named Tanno Vik, a demo expert with basically no conscience. So, that should prove interesting. You can read all about him here: http://tiny.cc/3gs88
Finally, you couldn't be heroic if you had to hitch a ride everywhere you needed to go, so of course you get hooked up with a pimped out "Special Forces" equipped star ship. This starship is strange looking in my opinion, but then again Lucas has always been known for unconventional looking space ships. I remember when the Millennium Falcon came out in the 70's, peeps thought it was a white hockey puck.....and now that is the ideal shape: http://tiny.cc/3mutt

not trying to be a buzz kill or anything but I must say that today was a great disappointment for me personally. IMO Bioware failed today.
Christmas only comes once a year and I was really hoping for some beta invites or some beefy crew skills or economy info. IMO they missed their chance to really hit the mark today. Not impressed.

There there, it is ok. Only a few more months to wait and there will be no need for a beta key. And then you can slay countless Republic scum for your grief.

Gunjnir, I do agree that they lost out on a great opportunity to maximize good press with good feelings - while hoping to cut into the Cataclysm numbers as well. Hopefully, they will get some more beta opportunities out to us....and let us know prior to sending them so we don't assume it is SPAM.

Time to switch to decafe. True we are Sith, but only fools rely on brute force. True Sith wait and calculate, and plot their enemies down fall to ultimately get what we want.

Yes, well who's to say kicking down the door wasn't a calculated decision? However I agree with you, and being impatient and complaining that you haven't gotten to play even a demo is relatively pointless. Instead you should plot and scheme against Bioware and by the time you've fully developed a plan to overthrow them the game should be released and you won't have to...

I haven't seen anyone complaining..
Am I the only one who thinks that ship looks butt-ugly? Also kinda looks like a B-wing that can't rotate?

I really don't like the looks of it either, it just looks too weird and off balanced for my taste.
