Hello UMBRA,
I am a newly accepted member and just flipped to healing spec. with my sorcerer.
I, and I am sure others, would appreciate some input from the more experienced healers in the guild on how to approach warzones.
Should we focus on healing only? Is there a way to do dps that matters?
As I play more I will contribute with what I find but I could really use the help to get rolling.
Thanks.

I second the motion for info about this spec in WZ. I have a baby toon sorc healer and soon she (Vibranium) will be running WZ too.

personally i focus on strikly healing in wrazone, as an operative i do use orbital strike and frag gernades from time to time to keep republic from capping and of course my cc abilities when applicable, but nothing beets a healer in a warzone actually healing. for me there is no feeling like denying the opponenets a kill, or to stop the ball carrier like pulling off a 5-6 k heal and bringing someone back from the brink. Just know you will get focused, you will get interrupted and be prepared to spam heal yourself a bunch.

As a sorc, toss shield out on anyone you can. It's GREAT fun in pissing off the other team.
If Huttball, try and get a height advantage and follow the ball carrier around.. If on top, around center, then toss shields on people as far out rangewise as you can.
Watch for the fights that sometimes get down to 1 on 1 around the center and heal the people fighting. It makes a big difference to just throw heals.

there are a few things that I really enjoy as a healer in WZ's. 1st is basic, I like the fact that there is a healer in there. After running under 50 WZ's 95% of the time without a healer, I found it's amazing how much different it is with a competent healer in the group. 2nd, like Kraxxis said I love bringing someone back from the brink and watching them finish off their opponent. 3rd, and this comes once you get your expertise up, I love being about to piss off 3-4 opponents at a time, and kite them wherever I want them to go. Because most of the time, the healer gets marked, and they want to be the one to take down the healer. So, you get a few of them beating on you and while healing your ball carrier and yourself until the ball carrier gets out of range, you can usually keep at least 3 toons occupied long enough to let the ball carrier and escorts get near the endzone. make sure you have / macro'd for just before you die and ball carrier is scoring. btw, is there a /flex in SW:TOR? cuz that would really piss them off lmao.
